Worth Remembering: If you eat six times a day, then every time you eat, your body must heat up to digest food. You can burn as much as 200 calories just through digesting a small meal. The secret is in eating small meals, so that there is very little excess food left to be stored in fat cells.
Did you know?
For some of you, the psychological benefits of exercise may be even greater than the physical benefits. Depression comes from helplessness--a feeling of being out of control. Note the following progression that comes from regular exercise:
Exercise = Gain Control = Greater Self-Esteem = Look Better = Feel Better =
Effort Reinforced = Better Eating Habits = Upward Spiral toward Better Well-Being!
Stop the downward spiral! Be active, not passive! When you assert yourself physically, you are actively putting yourself back in control of your situation!
