Serve the World

We believe that no one's process of discipleship can be mature or complete without giving of ourselves - in big and small ways - to "Serve the World."

 

For the faith community of Valleydale, this takes on a number of different roles, none of which are less important than any other.  Some in our church have found places to serve within our church's ministries, such as preschool care, the greeter ministry, or teaching a Life Connection group.  Others offer their time and gifts in reaching our community through "servant evangelism" projects such as block parties or handing out bottles of water just to let our neighbors know we care for them and want them to know God.  Still others make great sacrifice to do missions work in our Birmingham-Metro area, all across North America, and even around the world.  Of course, many people will try a little of everything, finding ways to grow as a disciple of Christ through giving of ourselves in any way they can.

 

Valleydale desires to make an impact for the kingdom of God in our community and our world through unconditional service.  We believe that's what Jesus has modeled for us, and we believe it can help change the world around us.  Come join us as we "serve the world."
