Worship God | Connect with Others | Serve the World

Message Series Starting February 12:

The modern life seems to be characterized by a surplus of activity and a dearth of meaning, lived in a constant fury but without an abiding passion.  This seems to be as true for followers of Christ as it is for those without that promise of life and hope.

So we ask that you imagine with us for the next few weeks what life could be if we lived for something greater than tomorrow’s deadlines, more lasting than the world’s “stuff,” beyond our own kingdoms, and focused instead on the purposes God has for our lives, our churches, and our world.

Dan Hall reminds us that God has had these purposes from the very beginning.  It is we who have misunderstood it, been distracted from it, and lost it in the routine of our lives.  The time is now for the people of God to renew their partnership with Him in His passion and for His purposes in the earth.

Life never fails to "throw curve balls" at each of us, bringing everything from major adjustments for our best-laid plans to crushing blows that alter our entire path.  The key to managing these moments is seeing them, not as "endings," but as opportunities for a fresh start in the grace of God that offers a word of hope for these transitional times in our lives.

With messages based in Jeremiah 29, Dan Hall reminds us that, even when life seems to go awry, God is not caught off-guard.  Instead, He has plans for His people, their future, and their good.
